Autumn 1
We have begun our Year 1 Maths lessons by looking at Place Value. This includes sorting and counting objects, representing objects, recognising numbers as words, counting on from any number to 20, finding 1 more and 1 less than a number and counting backwards within 10.
We have used a variety of resources to help us including ones from Dienes, cubes and tens frames.
In Geography we looked at how we can use maps. In groups we used our own map of the EYFS playground to help us find our way around and looked carefully at the key of this map to help us understand the features of maps.
