Success Criteria
To support our children with their writing, we ensure they have clear achievable success criteria before they begin an extended piece of writing. This success criteria can be provided by the teacher but as the children become older, it can be selected by the children. We believe this helps give the children a clear focus when they are writing and encourages them to proof-read and edit their work. The success criteria also enables and supports peer assessment which is a vital component within the writing process.
