Palm Sunday celebrates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, just a few days before His betrayal and execution. On Palm Sunday, people celebrated Him and cheered, calling for salvation. Jesus brought salvation, of course, but not quite as they had anticipated.

Computing - Coding Practice

PE - Agility

Our PE skills have developed even further this term; we worked on agility and co-ordination with a fun new game.

Maths - Comparing Mass

The children were tasked with using comparison symbols to compare different statements involving kg and g.

British Science Week - Objects Through Time

Year 3, following from their topic of Forces and Magnets, discussed different types of forces that come into play in our daily lives. We focused on water resistance, driven by the enquiry question - "what makes boats float?". We looked at water resistance, gravity, buoyancy and propelors. The children enjoyed a wonderful forensic Science workshop, and spent the rest of the day focusing on the forces that enable a boat to float.

Maths Stations - A Variety of Activities

Stations are different places in the classroom where students work on tasks simultaneously, and whose activities are linked. In Maths, we carouselled to different activities which reiewed parts of our learning this term.

World Book Day

World Book Day is all about celebrating reading - your way! We engaged with different types of texts, dressed as different characters and even received a mystery book from Mr Booth, which our learning surrounded today.

Trip to Cambridge Theatre - Matilda!

Roald Dahl's beloved childhood story Matilda comes to life on stage. Year 3 were lucky to have the chance to experience Matilda in an engaging, exciting trip to the theatre. Songs and dances were enjoyed and the children had a ball!

Self-Portraits

Lydia from HF ArtsFest has been working with Year 3 creating self-portraits. Today we focused on sketching and shading the features of the face.
